Everything you need to know about Project Beam — from technical specs to installation and pricing.
A standard Project Beam unit can be mounted and operational within 1–2 hours. No floor work is required — units are fixed to ceilings, walls, or overhead structures. Multi-unit installations for larger facilities are typically completed within a single day.
Project Beam works on virtually any floor surface — concrete, epoxy, painted floors, asphalt, and more. Projection clarity is optimised for light-coloured surfaces, but is effective across a wide range of industrial floor types.
Our units use high-intensity LEDs designed specifically for visibility in bright industrial lighting, including 400–600 lux ambient environments. The projection remains clearly visible even under direct overhead lighting.
Project Beam units carry an IP65 rating, making them dust-tight and protected against water jets. They are suitable for use in washdown environments, cold storage, and outdoor-covered areas.
Yes. We provide a full library of ISO-compliant safety symbols, crosswalk patterns, arrows, text, and hazard zones. Custom symbols and logos can be added on request. Symbol libraries are loaded during configuration.
Shift Mode (available on LaserBeam Move) allows a single unit to switch between multiple projection layouts. Switching can be triggered by a PLC signal, motion sensor, time schedule, or manual input — with response times under 100ms. This is ideal for areas that alternate between forklift and pedestrian use.
Traditional floor marking requires repainting every 6–18 months depending on traffic intensity, costing both materials and production downtime. Project Beam has no consumables — the only running cost is electricity (LED). Most facilities recover the investment within 12–24 months.
Project Beam units are rated for 50,000+ hours of continuous operation — equivalent to over 5 years at 24/7 use. The LED technology requires no bulb replacement.
Yes. Our team provides remote configuration support and on-site installation assistance for larger projects. We also offer training for your maintenance team and documentation for future configuration changes.

LaserBeam Core is a static, always-on projection system — ideal for permanent pedestrian crossings, walkways, and fixed safety zones. LaserBeam Move adds dynamic shift-based switching, allowing a single unit to change between multiple projection layouts via PLC, sensor, or manual trigger. Choose Core for fixed zones and Move for facilities with changing workflows.
Yes. LaserBeam Move supports PLC integration, motion sensors, time-based scheduling, and manual triggers. It can receive digital signals to switch between preset layouts with sub-100ms response time. This makes it compatible with most industrial automation systems.
Yes. Unlike epoxy and paint markings that degrade under forklift traffic and require costly reapplication every 6–18 months, Project Beam uses LED projection that never wears, fades, or needs floor work. It eliminates recurring maintenance costs and production downtime associated with traditional floor marking methods.
Yes. Project Beam's high-intensity LED projection is designed for industrial conditions including dust, humidity, and varying lighting. The IP65-rated housing is dust-tight and resistant to water jets, making it suitable for manufacturing, logistics, and even washdown environments.
Yes. Project Beam can project safety symbols, warnings, and guidance markings onto both floors and walls. Wall projection is particularly useful for visibility in tall facilities, loading docks, and areas where floor-level markings may not be visible from a distance.
Project Beam supports ISO-compliant safety symbol projection, including standardised pedestrian crossing markings, forklift warning symbols, hazard zones, and directional arrows. The system can be configured to meet your facility's specific safety requirements and local regulations.
Project Beam units are highly energy-efficient, consuming up to 80% less power than traditional industrial lighting solutions. The LED technology requires minimal electricity — far less than the recurring cost of paint, tape, and production downtime required by traditional marking methods.
Yes. LaserBeam Core supports symbol and layout reconfiguration by our team. LaserBeam Move allows real-time switching between multiple preset layouts from a tablet, PLC signal, or automated schedule — no reinstallation or floor work needed.
Yes. The IP65-rated housing and LED technology are designed to operate reliably in cold storage, freezer facilities, and temperature-variable environments where traditional paint markings crack and degrade rapidly due to thermal cycling.
Project Beam creates clearly visible pedestrian crossings, forklift exclusion zones, and warning symbols on the factory floor. LaserBeam Move can dynamically switch between forklift and pedestrian zone layouts per shift, eliminating confusion in shared-use areas and reducing collision risk.
SafeBeam is based in Sweden and primarily serves Swedish and Nordic industrial facilities. Contact us to discuss your project — we evaluate international requests on a case-by-case basis depending on facility size and location.
None. Project Beam units have no consumable parts, no bulbs to replace, and no floor surfaces to maintain. The LED source is rated for 50,000+ hours. Occasional lens cleaning may be recommended in very dusty environments, but no scheduled maintenance is required.
